General George Henry Thomas
This remarkable image of General Thomas has been taken from collections held at the Library of Congress and digitally enhanced. It has been reprinted on the finest museum quality paper. The conical Minié balls and round musket ball included in this piece were recovered from battlefields and campsites in the Western Theater of the war, near or on the scenes of many of the valiant struggles of the general and the men who served under him.

The Virginian commander was known as the “Rock of Chickamauga” for his stubborn stand at Horseshoe Ridge. With a motley collection of broken regiments and against all odds, Thomas held the ground at Chickamauga and allowed for the orderly Union retreat.

This beautiful piece is framed in a cherry stained solid wood shadowbox, 12 by 10 inches and 2 and 1/8 inches deep, with a glass face - all made in the USA. It includes the relics as described above. The depth of the box adds a beautiful effect to the piece. Annotations are on the back of the frame and each has been individually signed by AMHSoc, denoting its origin as the limited edition piece that it is. Images are available in gray tones and Sepia.
